Categories and Privileges

Regular APCLAO Membership
Regular APCLAO membership is open to ophthalmologists who have completed a specialist training in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution and has a minimum of 3 years of contact lens fitting experience.

Regular APCLAO Members shall enjoy the following privileges:

  • Advocacy for contact lens subspecialty and its related field generally leading to invitations to speak at scientific meetings, symposia and conferences.
  • Opportunities for collaborative research projects and access to research information.
  • Privilege to patient cross-referral and follow-up care network.
  • Priority to education and training expertise.
  • A rebate of an amount equivalent to the subscription fees paid by a Regular APCLAO member provided the member attends one APCLAO Scientific Meeting held during the membership period.
  • Possible reduced registration fees at other regional ophthalmic meetings.
  • Membership Certificate upon approval by APCLAO Board of Officers.

Associate APCLAO Membership
Associate APCLAO Membership is open to all certified ophthalmologists, physicians, paramedical, professionals and scientists involved in the field of ophthalmology and visual sciences.

Associate APCLAO Members shall enjoy the following privileges:

  • Opportunities for collaborative research projects and access to research information.
  • Privilege to patient cross-referral and follow-up care network.
  • A rebate of an amount equivalent to the subscription fees paid by a Associate APCLAO member provided the member attends one APCLAO Scientific Meeting held during the membership period.
  • Possible reduced registration fees at other regional ophthalmic meetings.

Members-In-Training Membership
Members-In-Training membership is open to all ophthalmologists in training and must be proposed by and seconded by existing Regular Members.

Members-In-Training shall enjoy the following privileges:

  • Opportunities for collaborative research projects and access to research information.
  • Privilege to patient cross-referral and follow-up care network.
  • Possible reduced registration fees at other regional ophthalmic meetings.

Corporate APCLAO Membership
Corporate Membership is open to any corporation that manufactures, sells, or provides services or products related to the medical or ophthalmic field, including the visual sciences and institutions and universities that participate in these areas. A new Corporate APCLAO Member must be proposed by one (1) Regular Member of the APLCAO

Subscription Fees and Application Form

Regular Member – USD50.00 for two years

Associate Member – USD50.00 for two years

Members-In-Training – USD30.00 for two years
